In their election manifesto Congress has asserted, if it comes to power it will employ 22 lakh unemployed within a year. In its each election campaign they censure BJP Govt. for its failure in providing 2 crore employment . It alleges, the Govt. didn’t heed the necessity to do something for creation of opportunity to remove the unemployment . The BJP thus cheated the youth . The BJP in response, says it has created fields including new approaches for their involvements , services and self employments citing examples viz. “Make in India”, Mudra Yojna, Expansion of Road and Transport, Rail , Airports and skill development programmes .The statutory bodies like Service Commissions are doing their works assigned for appointments in public sector in its routine way . Steps taken under these programme have diluted ”the crisis”
The Congress has explained its manifesto to appoint the unemployed youth on 4 lakh Central Govt. vacant post in its 1st year and the rest 18 lakh lying vacant in states quota will be filled up through state agencies in phases . The centre will fund conditionally for this to states . As observed , the congress, as per its ideology, does not acknowledge the employment in private or other sectors . It appears that the congress means it only by public sector . The BJP have it with a broad look , self employed , employed in private and public sector or professionals and independent skilled persons who earn at their own are all in the category of employed . BJP does not stop here , even the farmers are not unemployed since the professions are their source of livelihood and Govt. is working in various directions to improve their social and economic status . BJP’s approach is: a person is said to be unemployed if he has no business for his livelihood.
Public sector units are the one common to both for appointment but it has its limit. Crossing the limit are not so easy . The congress will be left with no option but to close its door when it is over . Creation of new opportunities in public sector may be possible but on huge investment . The Govt. will have to take years for it . Interesting thing is here, the congress seems to be reluctant in paving ways and means for the growth and developments in private sector. Whereas the private sector units have their important role in a country . For a democratic country private sector units are more productive and of utmost value in regulating and enhancing its economy. BJP is open on this issue . It is acting on the both ends and intends initiating searches on different probabilities for extension and expansion of both the sectors . “Make In India” of BJP is one of the related measures with a long term aim to curb unemployment . By and large Congress is vague but BJP is clear on the burning issue .
