Kashmir Problem - Unseen and Untold?
Kashmir is a big post-independence tragedy. It is the outcome of short sightedness of Pandit Nehru. As the religious frenzy and communal hatred generated before independence was the cause of formation of Pakistan, he was of the opinion that Muslim dominated Kashmir should be the part of newly formed Pakistan.
Hence, he need not felt it necessary to assess the political and geographical importance of Kashmir. Religion related issues in Kashmir led him not to go further. Now the situation is very critical there. It resulted in Kashmiri Pandit exodus and birth of terrorism which was later supported by Pakistan. It is sending different groups of terrorist in Kashmir for creating havoc and communal hatred in India.
It is a fact that Pakistan is well experienced with India`s armaments. It will not enter into direct war with India. This is why it aims to have a strong terrorist base for its operation from within India. Kashmir is an adjoining state and most importantly the separatist ideology and their action are in tune with that of Pakistan. This led their easy entry into social structure of Kashmir. Exploiting the social and religious sentiment of kashmiries Pakistan tried to raise their anger against India. Pakistan is interested in producing chaos and as such to make India serious in social and religious conflict thus created accordingly and to make its hidden agenda of disintegrating India into reality.
Now think, if Pakistan conceded to stop intrusion, will there be peace in Kashmir. The answer is “no”. The political leaders and the separatist as well will go into shock as they have to down their shutters. Terrorism is the source of concern of India towards safeguarding the interest of theirs. Their personal interests are over and above that of poor kashmiries. They are working under secret plan of receiving assistance and securities from India to counter terrorism on one hand and the benefits of terror funding from Pakistan on the other. They can’t see the death of terrorism in the region. Their objective and that of Pakistan should remain alive. Kashmir be the matter of concern and leaders be the recievers from both side. Here is to mention that Kashmiri leaders under their secret plan are not in favour of being ruled by Pakistan as they are fully acquainted with the facts about the ill treatment of Balluchise there. So they like status quo in relation between the two countries and thus the status quo in present situation in Kashmir.
